Kevin Ishizu joins Saylor & Hill Co. as Director, Executive Liability Practice
Ishizu to lead the firm's Northern California Management Liability effort

Oakland, CA – Michael Mirsky, Principal and Managing Director of Saylor & Hill Co., a Barney & Barney LLC Company, is pleased to announce that Kevin Ishizu has joined the firm as their Director, Executive Liability Practice.  Formerly a Partner and team manager at Carpenter Moore Insurance Services, Inc., Mr. Ishizu brings over 14 years of industry experience specializing in directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O) and employment practices insurance.

"Kevin Ishizu is a proven leader in this industry.  His risk management expertise will provide our clients with a no-nonsense look at insurance solutions and a customized approach to specific client risk.  When Saylor & Hill Co. merged with Barney & Barney earlier this year, we did so with the intention of growing our commercial insurance offerings.  The addition of Kevin to our team is an integral part of this plan," Mr. Mirsky said. 

Kevin is adept at working with firms engaged in complex financial operations, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and other multifaceted transactions. He is a frequent speaker on D&O exposures including panels with the ABA, NVCA, VC Task Force, Bay CFO, Santa Clara Bar Association, and several CLE approved meetings with major law firms.

“Securities litigation is undergoing rapid changes,” continued Mr. Mirsky. “Kevin is a nationally-recognized thought leader and will be a great asset to help our clients stay ahead of these changes.”

Kevin graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in Business Economics. He worked for several years as a licensed Series 7 and 63 member of the NASD in retail securities and investment banking.
